Four-Horned Sheep Hunting Information
Four-horned sheep are distinctive animals, particularly known for their unique horn configuration. These sheep can have two, four, or even six horns. Just as humans have unique fingerprints, four-horned sheep have various horn configurations, as this is an individual genetic trait. They most often have two impressive larger, outward curving horns with two smaller parallel horns growing just behind them curling down the side. Also known as Jacob’s Sheep, four-horned sheep come in various colors with coats ranging from white to black with unique facial markings. These sheep are medium sized, typically weighing between 120 and 180 pounds.
Originally heralding from the Middle East, there are only about 5000 documented four-horned sheep in existence worldwide. They are agile and can adapt to various terrains and climates, traveling almost anywhere for food sources. Around the world, four-horned sheep have historically been domesticated due to their docile nature. Their wool, meat, and horns have all been used for various products.
